As early as 1972, a telephone answering machine appeared on the market that was second to none: The ‘Alibi-Nota FL’ with remote listening / erasing functionality. Zettler, a company famous for its pioneering telecomms technology, had succeeded in going round the extremely strict regulations laid down by the German telephone authorities.
