I have a problem with the Elektor SDR clashing with another device, a Winkeyer USB, which also uses the FTDI FT232 USB interface.

http://k1el.tripod.com/WKUSB.html

Both are on different COM ports, the Elektor SDR is on COM 4 and the Winkeyer USB on COM 6.

If I run ElektorSDR with the Winkeyer USB un-plugged everything is fine and the SDR changes frequency.

But if I plug in the Winkeyer USB ElektorSDR will not allow frequency changes and I get the following error messages:
FT_Open_invalid handle
FT_SetBitMode_invalid handle
FT_SetBaudRate-invalid handle
FT_Write-invalid handle
FT_Close-invalid handle

The Winkeyer USB works fine whether the Elektor SDR is plugged in or not.

The Winkeyer software allows me to manually choose a COM port but I cannot find any way to do this in ElektorSDR? I wonder if this has any relevance to my problem?

Any suggestions appreciated. Thanks in advance.
