to build an electroscope i need a fet transistor
MPF-102N but impossible to find a company that sells
that one . Is it possible i can use a more common one

well a quick search on google says that Fairchild still make the MPF102 (http://www.fairchildsemi.com/ds/MP%2FMPF102.pdf) the "N" at the end can probably be ignored.

anyhoo. Farnell code 1203814 or 1126471 (the "G" suffix on the on-semi one signifies RoHS compliance)
