I have managed to get my interface working that let a Gameboy advance communicate with a VW or Audi car reading fault codes and displaying information

See it at www.cardiagnostic.co.uk

Hey pmhunt,

your project looks pretty good. How hard is it to bypass the ELM (the PICmicro cable) to interface directly to the CAN of the OBD port??

The interface does not use the elm chip. I just use a 3.3V to 12V converter to interface between the car and gameboy advance
