I was build Eprom Emulator II on elektor September 1992 several year ago, and its work fine. The problem is when I buy new PC with windows XP sp2, I cannot download my file to the eprom emulator. How to solve this problem? thanks pey

Keep the relevant files at say C:\ or say D:\ come to command mode ("start ... run" call the file by browsing the concerned directory and use run command. at this point you can use DOS commands. you can also get a list of commands by pressing a key. Perhaps it would help you as we were able to run most of dos commands. of older packages. only problem would be with modern devices like USB. I am still searching solution for it.

Always keep an old DOS PC in the shack, now you see the real value of what you threw away many years ago. Get one back from the local IT skip and cherish it. I have a 386SX 25 MHz with DOS only. Lovely and 5 times as fast as the Vista machine downstairs. GD

Hi. I also used the basics of the circuit but with a few mods. A wrote the complete software for a Intel 80x48/49 type micro. With par and serial download . Maybe the code will work in your unit. Have not used it for about 8 yr but should work . Remember that you need to " print " your hex or mot data file as a standard ascii file. Cheers Nico
