just yet.
Today, I had a clearout.binned my PCMCIA CDROM amd Hardrive-bought in pre-USB days. Also consigned all my old prototypes to the cellar.Decluttered my office wall -the ASCII character table was starting to yellow. Then I chanced on a software update for the PICKIT2 now includes a 3 channel logic analyser and serial monitor.Great I thought -I had just designed a single channel USB logic analyser (DSO).!

Hmm I thought - in my time I probably spent 1000's of hours designing PCB for my prototypes, spent endless hours breathing in ferric chloride fumes and breaking countless tungsten carbide drills.

Then it occures to me.Why design uP boards when they are available ready built from OEM's such as OLIMEX and 4D systems.
I shall be keeping my soldering iron, but just for soldering connectors.

So, now I will put my feet up, just programming the PIC's in C and assembler and start a new no-hardware design erra.

Someone once said that the present version of WORD could easily last the next 1000 years.
Regards,
RG
