Hi guys,
I’ve been reading about Explorer16 project and have couple of questions. I don’t have explorer board neither I have pickit2 programmer but would like to make something clear before I get one. Im trying to figure out how its possible to connect pickit2 to explorer16 dev board, when board doesn’t have appropriate connectors for it. Also I guess (because we talk about 16 bit PICs) you would want to program one with PICKIT2 and I don’t see that to be possible with this development tool.
I would appreciate any answer

" O we do like the easy ones "

Look carefully on the picture on pages 32 and 33 of the February 2007 issue and read the section under “PICkit 2 Starter Kit” on page 34. The PICkit connector, a 6-way SIL pinheader, is fitted in the space between the two PICtail bus connectors (one fitted, one optional).
PICkit2 fully supports the PIC24F for programming. The list of all PICs supported is on the Microchip website.

Hope this helps
