Hi Peter,
nice job you did there. Of course "Plug & Play" depends on our ability to assemble machine good. Some people, (you) managed to do great job and some others bit less. I noticed that z-axis is crucial assembly for good result. I had some problems with play in the beginning but after that was eliminated everything went well.

Hi BR,

in dutch forum someone told, that Colinbus plans to improve the z-axis within next weeks; its the weak point of Profiler indeed.

Greetings

Peter

Hello folks

I see a lot of negative feedback on the forums around ...
It seems that only a few are able to get "nice results".

I'm one of the few I guess ...
My Ref from Colinbus is "1", so I was the very first "owner" of a Profiler ...
I must say, I have seen it all, also had my "ups and downs" (more downs then ups at some times) ...
I also started as a "beta tester" (That's how it did feel at least, I can assure you, the software did have more bugs in it then it still has today, I assume some people can't even imagine this, lol)
I broke a lot of drilling and milling bits, but after a few months of "trial and error", I did starting to see some "nice results".
I'm glad that I did continue ...

To be honest, I replaced my FERM tool with a KRESS FME1050 a few months ago, that's the only "change" that I made to my Profiler ...

Take a look at some pictures:
(all PCB's, housings and other pieces you see in the pictures, are all milled with the Profiler)

A small RGB project, to "light-up" an acrylic lasered "thingy":

An 8-channel TRIAC card:

My 3D Led Cube:

A LED Matrix controller:

Andy - My hexapod: (design loosely based on Phoenix)

I'm still waiting for some components to arrive, so I can finish-up Andy.

Work in progress: Analog clock (with gears):

(don't look to close at the last picture, because there is a lot of dust and finger-prints on the plexi)

So, any comments, questions, suggestions etc ... are more then welcome

P.S. Sorry for my bad English, Dutch is my native language.

Best regards,
Kris
